Tangle Roots

TangleRoots is a playground between two multi-instrumentalists from Denmark, meeting up with a great Kora player from Gambia,- to see how they, with this fascinating 21-stringed instrument could inspire each other to play music with all kind of roots and instruments. For us the music symbolises the want to meet each other, get inspired of each other and to collaborate, using the best from each world. Basiru came to Denmark 1997, and TangleRoots has ever since tried to challenge the borders of musical traditions, by tangling up the musical roots of many different places and created our own kind of world music – Tangled Roots Music. We hope you like it!
