We invite you to four late-night concerts (July 8–11) during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, where the band’s music is reimagined each evening in collaboration with a new guest soloist.

This evening – Basiru Suso
BASIRU SUSO – Kora
Basiru Suso (West Africa) comes from a long line of so-called griots who have upheld the tradition of kora playing and storytelling in West Africa for generations.
Basiru was born in Gambia and raised in Mali. He performs world music and West African music, teaches African dance, and is a storyteller in the African tradition.

We look forward to four evenings of musical diversity and sky-high artistic quality in the company of HOGO FOGO and their guests.
The audience is invited right up close to the music. The concerts take place in a circular floor setup, where the audience can move around, dance, or sit and experience the music from multiple perspectives.

Program – all concerts 23:00–00:30:
08.07 – Basiru Suso (kora)
09.07 – Lisbeth Diers (percussion)
10.07 – Michael Rexen (vocals)
11.07 – Alexander Kraglund (violin)
Venue: Studenterhuset, Copenhagen
